โš ๏ธ SMELL GAS? ACT IMMEDIATELY!

Do NOT switch on lights, fans or any electrical appliance. Follow these steps:

๐Ÿ”ด Turn OFF Regulator

Immediately turn off the gas regulator on the cylinder. This stops gas supply.

๐ŸชŸ Open All Windows & Doors

Ventilate the area immediately. Let fresh air in and gas out.

๐Ÿšซ No Electrical Switches

Do NOT touch any switches โ€” lights, fans, phone chargers. A spark can cause explosion.

๐Ÿ”ฅ No Flames or Lighters

Do NOT light matchsticks, lighters or candles under any circumstances.

๐Ÿƒ Evacuate Immediately

Take everyone out of the house. Move away from the building quickly.

Call HP Gas emergency (1906) and Fire Brigade (101) from outside the building.

โœ… DO's โ€” Always Follow
โœ… Check rubber tube regularly for cracks or damage
โœ… Keep cylinder upright at all times
โœ… Use ISI-marked regulators and rubber pipes only
โœ… Turn off regulator when not in use
โœ… Keep cylinder away from heat sources
โœ… Store cylinder in well-ventilated area
โœ… Check for leakage using soap water (NOT flame)
โœ… Change rubber pipe every 2 years
โŒ DON'Ts โ€” Never Do These
โŒ Never check for gas leakage with a flame or lighter
โŒ Never keep cylinder in horizontal (lying) position
โŒ Never use cylinder near open fire or stove without pipe
โŒ Never fill gas into another container
โŒ Never tamper with cylinder valves or safety cap
โŒ Never store cylinder in bedroom or closed room
โŒ Never ignore even a slight smell of gas
โŒ Never leave gas stove unattended while cooking

Check before connecting: Inspect the regulator for any damage, cracks or rust before attaching to cylinder.

Proper attachment: Connect the regulator firmly to the cylinder valve. It should click into place securely.

Test for leaks: Apply soap water around the regulator joint. No bubbles means it's sealed properly.

ON/OFF usage: Always turn regulator to OFF position when the stove is not in use, especially at night.

Replace every 5 years: Regulators should be replaced every 5 years. Check ISI mark and expiry date.
